Our foundation was dug this week! Doesn’t it look great?! Monday and Tuesday of this week were chalked full of disappointments and more setbacks, but we motored through it and made it to Saturday! Lundblad’s pushed hard this week and got the foundation dug so next week Shane Blair and his team at Gateway Construction can get it poured. Progress like this feels so good! In the picture above, the laser is standing on what the will be the basement floor. Other than a few trees along South Lakeshore, we will have a pretty unobstructed view of Lake Minnewaska from our future patio. It’s going to be beautiful!
Yesterday Joe worked on taking some trees and scrub brush out to improve the panoramic view from atop of the hill, and I put about 8 hours these last two days on the lawn mower getting caught up on grass cutting that had gotten away from us. The boys have been pretty patient this week with their busy parents and we celebrated tonight with a campfire and s’mores!

It’s our town celebration this week with Waterama festivities going on all week! This week was full of activities celebrating all the wonderful things Glenwood has to offer! Unfortunately we didn’t make it to much this year because of our laundry list of things needing our attention on the farm, but I am thankful I was able to run to town yesterday for a short time and soak in some of the energy. I found a couple of screws with a lawn mower tire and got a flat 10 minutes into starting. So I had to get it fixed and was able to say hi to a few friends during the Crazy Days sales. Tomorrow we are hoping to relax a little at the parade and let the kids be kids.
This summer is flying by and school will be starting soon! So we are going to try and do a few more fun things with the boys before we have to think about that!
